Learning and Teaching @EdUHK Festival 2024

The “Learning and Teaching @EdUHK Festival 2024” (the Festival) will be held for four consecutive months from February to May 2024. The theme “Learning and Teaching for Future Readiness” is proposed in view of the strategic development of the University. This year, activities and programme will be organised including open class observations, video showcases, exhibition of poster boards and students sharing. The Festival is organised by the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC), Faculty of Education and Human Development (FEHD), Faculty of Humanities (FHM), Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (FLASS), Graduate School (GS), and School Partnership and Field Experience Office (SPFEO).

Moodle, the Learning Management System (LMS) used by our University, provides many features that offer interactive and engaging online learning activities to enhance your learning experience, such as accessing up-to-date course resources, communicating with teachers and classmates, submitting assessments, managing your schedule, collaborating on group projects, and more. This workshop gives you an overview of the new version of Moodle 4.0, covering its exciting new features. Moreover, you can have the opportunity for hands-on practice, including resource downloading, participating in course activities, and checking Turnitin assignment similarity.

The Induction – Introduction to Teaching in Higher Education Settings is organised by the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC). It is categorised as part of the Certificate Course – “Introduction to Teaching in Higher Education”. It is offered to all new full-time academic/teaching staff and Research Postgraduate (RPg) students of EdUHK. The Induction aims to provide essential learning, teaching, and assessment information at EdUHK, for which two 3-hour sessions will be arranged. The Induction is delivered by LTTC staff and academic staff from different departments and other academic support units of the University.
