Have you ever wondered why students sometimes show limited improvement in the University’s Generic Intended Learning Outcomes (GILOs), even when we intentionally design class activities to support them? In this workshop, Dr. Sam Cheung will debunk common myths about promoting students’ achievement of the GILOs through course‑level learning and teaching activities. He will revisit the meaning of each GILO and provide practical tips on designing and implementing activities that enhance students’ mastery of subject knowledge while fostering these core attributes.
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) today (19 March ) held the Fifth Artificial Intelligence and Education Forum at its Tai Po campus, attracting over 100 representatives from academia, industry, government departments, and schools to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the educational ecosystem. During the forum, EdUHK announced the establishment of the Robotics and Embodied Intelligence (REI) Laboratory to drive educational innovation in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
With the theme “Transforming Teacher Education and Teaching: Embracing Change and Innovation”, the 10th International Conference on Learning and Teaching 2026 (ICLT 2026) will be held on 21 - 23 April 2026 at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) in a hybrid format with online and on-site conferencing for all registered participants.
In commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the University’s Retitling (10A), a two-day “AI4EDU Forum: Innovation, Implementation and Collaboration” (AI4EDU 論壇: 創新、實施與合作) will be held on 17 – 18 June 2026. The forum aims to facilitate expert discussions and foster local and international partnerships in AI-supported and AI-driven education. Key objectives include exploring the use of AI in various subject disciplines across K-12 education, enabling dialogue among stakeholders such as educators, AI experts, school leaders, and industry partners, demonstrating EdUHK’s strengths through world-class scholars, and highlighting the formation of EdUHK’s international alliance for AI in education, which involves global experts and researchers.
