LTTC Delegation Explores Robotics and Embodied AI for Education with Leju (Shenzhen) Robotics Technology Co., Ltd.

24 August 2026, Shen Zhen

On 24 August 2026, a delegation led by Dr Fu Hong and Dr So Chi Fuk Henry, Associate Directors of the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), visited Leju (Shenzhen) Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. The visit provided both sides with an opportunity to exchange views on the latest developments in embodied intelligence and explore possible avenues for educational collaboration.

During the visit, the delegation first toured Leju’s exhibition centre. They watched live robot performances and examined a wide range of technologies and applications. These included full-size and small humanoid robots and their educational use cases, industrial omnidirectional robot vehicles, robot control simulation and reinforcement learning pipelines, motion capture systems, and a series of robotics teaching materials developed under a previous collaboration between the two parties. The demonstrations helped EdUHK representatives better understand how Leju’s technologies could be applied in teaching, learning, and innovation contexts.

Following the tour, both parties held constructive discussions on potential areas of cooperation. The conversation covered the possibility of organising joint seminars and forums on embodied intelligence, the development of robotics competitions and related opportunities for student participation, student internship and study programmes. Other areas discussed included the design and delivery of workshops and courses together with associated professional certification, the potential of a dedicated robotics laboratory, as well as research collaboration and knowledge transfer initiatives.

The visit strengthened mutual understanding between EdUHK and Leju in the rapidly growing field of embodied AI for education. It also established a solid foundation for future partnership in talent development and the innovative application of embodied intelligence technologies within educational settings. Both sides expressed interest in continuing the dialogue and exploring concrete forms of collaboration in the coming semesters.
