A delegation of professors from Yunnan Normal University (YNNU) recently visited The Education University of Hong Kong to discuss the establishment of the “EdUHK – YNNU Joint Centre for Synergistic Innovation in South and Southeast Asia Education Development and Research (香港教育大學—雲南師範大學 南亞及東南亞教育研究與發展協同創新中心)” and exchange ideas. The purpose of the visit was to foster collaboration, share best practices, and explore opportunities for future partnerships, particularly in the development of professional development programs for teachers in Yunnan. The delegation was led by Professor Yang Bin, Head of the Department of Teacher Education in the Faculty of Education (教育學部教師教育系主任) at YNNU, and included Dr. Feng Liting, Head of the Department of Education (教育系系主任), Dr. Ma Jinjing, Head of the Department of Special Education (特殊教育系系主任), and Dr. Li Xiaochuan, an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education. During their visit, the delegation toured various facilities at EdUHK, including the Video Production Room, Metaverse Education Lab, and Mobile Computer Lab. They also engaged in discussions on innovative technologies for learning and teaching in higher education, covering a wide range of areas related to educational technology and its application in the classroom. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to visit The Education University of Hong Kong” said by Professor Yang Bin, “The exchange of ideas and knowledge has been invaluable, and we look forward to exploring opportunities for future collaboration with EdUHK, especially in developing professional development programmes for the teachers of Yunnan”.
