Generic Intended Learning Outcomes (GILOs)
Rubrics and Learning Evidence for Generic Intended Learning Outcomes (GILOs)
Our Centre has developed a set of rubrics for the Generic Intended Learning Outcomes (GILOs) at the University. The rubrics adopt a consistent framework, providing definition and operational criteria for each learning outcome. The performance levels and level descriptors serve as a guide for students and teachers to assess learning and teaching in relation to the GILOs. We are currently on version 18.
Rubrics for Generic Intended Learning Outcomes (GILOs)
This set of rubrics is particularly useful for building the student ePortfolios, in which students need a reference for assessing and indicating their learning achievements. Please refer to Student ePortfolio to learn more about the Student ePortfolio at the University. To further demonstrate student application and accomplishment of GILOs, we also provide a compilation of learning evidence selected from exemplary students’ works as examples, including coursework and ePortfolios. These examples of learning evidence are grouped in three sets according to their relevance to the criteria of each learning outcome in the rubrics.
