Panopto allows users to edit their videos. This workshop aims at demonstrating how we can do so on Panopto via making changes, adding extra streams to our videos, or creating quizzes embedded in videos.

Topics to be covered include:

understanding the video editing environment of Panopto
preparing the different sources of video streams or slides
adding and editing streams
modifying the publish settings (for controlling captions, downloads, etc.)
how viewers can access the video and the learning materials

The Induction – Introduction to Teaching in Higher Education Settings is organised by the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC). It is categorised as part of the Certificate Course – “Introduction to Teaching in Higher Education”. It is offered to all new full-time academic/teaching staff and Research Postgraduate (RPg) students of EdUHK. The Induction aims to provide essential learning, teaching, and assessment information at EdUHK, for which two 3-hour sessions will be arranged. The Induction is delivered by LTTC staff and academic staff from different departments and other academic support units of the University.

Led by Dr. Ricci Fong, the workshop will feature the sharing of VR scenario-based learning materials she has developed. These materials aim to explore the alignment of GILO Rubrics with university teaching and learning. By incorporating AI chatbots and multiple-choice questions, the materials enhance students’ oral communication and social interaction skills, equipping them for practical workplace situations in educational and non-educational sectors.
