Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as ‘drones’, are aircraft piloted remotely by an operator. A drone is a way to teach real-world examples of coding in action, demonstrating principles of flight and physics. Therefore, drones have been helpful in organising and developing STEM/STEAM activities.
In this workshop, you will learn how to fly an educational drone (DJI RoboMaster TT). You will have opportunities to learn Scratch and Python by programming drones to design flying trajectories, take pictures, and accomplish autonomous flying missions. At the end of the workshop, you will use Reality Capture , a photogrammetry software, to build 3D models with the images/videos captured by drones.
