EdUHK Award Winners’ Sharing Seminar: Strategies, Insights, and Outcomes for Reimagining Education

On 18 March 2026, the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC) hosted the "EdUHK Award Winners’ Sharing Seminar: Strategies, Insights, and Outcomes for Reimagining Education." Moderated by Dr. Fu Hong, Associate Director of LTTC, the seminar aimed to inspire project leaders and colleagues who are working on projects, to explore innovative approaches and consider participating in international award applications, such as the QS Reimagine Education Awards.

The seminar featured three distinguished speakers sharing insights into their innovative projects. Prof. Lim Cher Ping, Chair Professor of Learning Technologies and Innovation, delivered a keynote presentation titled The Centre of Excellence for Higher Education Teaching and Learning Innovations in Cambodia – Developing and Sustaining Partnerships. His presentation highlighted the transformative impact of this effort in building the capacity of higher education teachers in Cambodia. A key achievement of the project is expanding access to quality online learning resources and positioning it for effective scale-up in higher education, ensuring sustainable improvements in teaching practices and student learning outcomes.

Dr. Ting Fridolin, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology, presented his project YoChatGPT: From AI Monologue to Collaborative Dialogue, showcasing the use of generative AI to enhance student engagement and foster collective intelligence.

Dr. Fu Hong shared her projects on Leveraging the Metaverse to Promote Data Security and Privacy Awareness and Enhancing Students' Digital Competency by Developing Interactive and Immersive Educational Games in VRCAVE. These initiatives highlight the transformative potential of immersive technologies in education, empowering students with essential digital skills.

The seminar provided valuable strategies and actionable insights, encouraging colleagues to advance their projects and aim for excellence in teaching and learning.
