Undergraduate Student Sharing Session 2025/26

In order to promote reflective and peer learning, an Undergraduate Student Sharing with the theme of “Transforming Teacher Education and Teaching: Embracing Change and Innovation” was organized by School Partnership and Field Experience Office (SPFEO) and the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC). This sharing was organized at the Creative Arts Room (C-1/F-01F) on 13 March 2026 in hybrid mode. The speakers included two awardees and their students from FE Supervision Appreciation Scheme - Award for Excellent FE Supervision in Semester 2 of 2024/25 invited by LTTC, and 2 speakers from external organizations invited by SPFEO. The sharing attracted a total of 43 participants (29 students, 14 staff members) onsite and online.

Ir. Eric CHAN, the Chief Public Mission Officer of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited captivated the attendees with his profound insights into the innovative use of AI in education. Leveraging his extensive experience in the technology industry and his unwavering passion for education.

Representing the FE Supervision Appreciation Scheme, Dr. FENG Zhenhui, the lecturer from Department of Chinese Language Studies (CHL) and Ms. CHUNG Ching Man, the PGDE Graduate Student shared a poignant session titled "Illuminating Differences". They reflected on the "spiritual memoirs" and lesson preparation notes gathered during their supervisory journey, emphasizing how a deep understanding of student diversity can light the way for more effective teaching.

Ms. CHAK Yin Kwan, the Lecturer, Department of Literature and Cultural Studies (LCS) and Ms. LIN Tsz Ying, the Year 5 BEd in Chinese Language Student provided practical pedagogical strategies in their talk, "Designing Lesson Plans that Integrate Caring Elements". Using Chinese Language teaching as a case study, they demonstrated how empathy and academic rigor can be woven together to create a more supportive classroom environment.

During the session, Mr. KAM Wai Ming, the Principal of HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School offered a forward-looking perspective on the impact of Artificial Intelligence. His session, "How AI is Reshaping Education", explored the transformative power of AI tools and the necessary shifts in mindset required for educators to thrive alongside these new technologies.

At the LTTC, our mission remains steadfast: to improve student learning outcomes through the power of digital technology. We firmly believe that technology is a fundamental catalyst for reshaping how we teach and learn. As we look to the future, it is essential that we equip our students with the advanced digital skills, including AI literacy and digital competency in a technology-driven world.

Furthermore, we are continuing our long-standing commitment to reflective learning through ePortfolios. With the latest advancements in AI-powered teaching tools, large language models, multimodal learning analytics, AI-powered adaptive learning systems, and robotics education. These platforms are evolving into powerful digital portfolios that not only document your university journey but also showcase your unique growth, achievements, and employability to the world.
