We are thrilled to announce that our CRAC project, "Enhancing Students' Digital Competency by Developing Interactive and Immersive Educational Games in VRCAVE," has been shortlisted for the QS Reimagine Education Award 2025 – Best Use of Generative AI ! Out of 1,600 global submissions, our project ranked in the top 20% with a significant improvement from last year’s top 25% ranking. The project introduces an innovative delivery method for storytelling, leveraging a voice-activated generative AI agent to create immersive 3D environments within the EdUHK Library’s CAVE. Users, including learners and educators, can describe stories, characters, and settings through voice input, which the AI translates into 3D models and skyboxes for use in CAVE platforms. The platform prioritizes ease of use, enabling users to focus on creativity without requiring technical expertise. By integrating AI with VRCAVE technology, the project enhances storytelling, communication, and digital competency. The focus on voice-driven interaction and real-time 3D visualization makes this a transformative tool for diverse applications.
