LTTC Hosted a Visit for the Central China Normal University Delegation

A delegation from the Central China Normal University (CCNU) visited the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) on 17 July 2025. The visit was hosted by the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC). LTTC colleagues shared EdUHK’s applications of innovative technologies in higher education with the delegation during the visit.
The CCNU delegation members comprised Dr YU Qiuchen, Ms LI Wenna and Mr HUANG Xianjin, counselors of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education, along with 23 undergraduate students and 20 graduate students from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education, and the School of Computer Science.
Dr YANG Yu, Assistant Professor of the LTTC, warmly welcomed the CCNU delegation and introduced the Centre’s recent work and achievements, including the development of AI-powered tools, digital competency frameworks and technology-enhanced learning environments. The visit commenced at the Artificial Intelligence Education Lab, where Dr SUN Daner, Associate Head and Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology (MIT), delivered an inspiring talk on “Artificial Intelligence in Education”, and engaged in an exchange of ideas with the delegation after the talk.

Following the talk, LTTC colleagues showcased our self-developed resources and award-nominated case studies that leveraged immersive technologies at the Metaverse Education Lab, including virtual reality (VR) and metaverse education platforms. After touring LTTC facilities, the delegation also had the opportunity to experience innovative learning and teaching using the latest technologies by visiting the Future Classrooms at the University Library, which are tailored for future pedagogical models and needs as well as developments in the IT industry.
The delegation was introduced to LTTC’s forefront initiatives, especially the efforts in integrating artificial intelligence and emerging technologies into teaching and learning practices. The visit included an insightful talk, a tour of LTTC’s facilities, and an overview of the library’s future classrooms, all of which provided a thorough understanding of EdUHK’s commitment to educational innovation.
