Robotics and Embodied Intelligence (REI) Lab

Platform: 3D printers

High-precision 3D printers for designing and fabricating custom tools, fixtures, and attachments for robots and drones. With AI’s capability, students can design 3D models before printing with genAI-enabled tools.

Platform: Educational robots

The robot kit engages students by bringing math, engineering, and computer science to life. Through hands-on building and programming, students can explore these subjects at their own pace in our STEM Labs, or the hardware can be easily integrated into the existing curriculum.

Educational robot examples and sensors

e.g., Electronic brain, motors, cables, ultrasonic finders, and other sensors.

Platform: Robotic arm

The robots will be used for robotics workshops for students to learning how to program robotic arms for tasks like assembly or pick-and-place, learning automation and control systems with AI.

Teachers can use them to teach industrial robotics principles, guiding students through practical prototyping and solution development.

Motion Capture System

Embodied AI training: Motion capture systems provide high-precision data for tracking the exact spatial position and orientation of robots and humans in real time. These systems for validating onboard sensors (e.g., LiDAR and IMUs) enable imitation learning, in which robots mimic human movements.

Control & Navigation: By using ROS (Robot Operating System), users can refine autonomous navigation algorithms and ensure safety in human-robot collaboration by predicting human intent.
