In the current educational landscape, the pervasive use of generative AI tools has transformed how students access and produce information. Such extensive adoption has sparked concerns about the reliability of traditional assessment methods, as many are now likely compromised by these advanced technologies. Educators can strengthen student learning through strategic use offormative assessments that emphasise authentic tasks and active engagement. In this interactive session, we will explore assessment strategies that prioritise process over product and design class activities and assessments that help students develop metacognitive skills.
