Abstract

Dr. Li firmly believes that the essence of higher education lies in fostering connections andnurturing empathy among individuals. In her talk, Dr. Li will share her experiences in bridging students to a wider network, including peers worldwide, NGOs, and industry professionals, while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. She will delve into her use of experiential learning techniques, such as drama and debate, to cultivate empathy within her students.

Additionally, Dr. Li will discuss how an entrepreneurial spirit has empowered her to experiment and innovate in teaching and learning. She will share her experience of starting small andscaling up educational activities and initiatives.

Through a series of case studies, Dr. Li will illustrate her strategies in both curriculum design and co-curricular learning events. These initiatives enable students from diverse backgrounds to collaborate on projects focused on sustainable development.
