Participation in this seminar can be counted towards the Certificate Course “Introduction to Teaching in Higher Education” under the theme, “Seminars/Workshops in Learning and Teaching”
Hopeful thinking mitigates risk factors associated with negative life events. A hope programme which consisted of 6 online modules was launched. The programme aimed to increase college student’s hope level and related psychological well-being. Students had a significant increase in hope level and well-being after completing the programme. This sharing seminar will introduce the programme and share some of the preliminary findings.

Dr Leung’s research centres on the psychosocial well-being and development of adolescents and college students. Her research interests include cyberbullying, E-learning, mental health, and suicidal behavior. She received two RGC grants, and two TDGs.
