This seminar examines the transformative impact of generative AI on education, focusing on its rapid advancements and potential to reshape teaching and learning. Since the introduction of large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and Claude, AI has demonstrated a remarkable ability to process vast amounts of knowledge, communicate fluently, and interact with users through text, visuals, sound, and even emotional responses. We will explore how AI is poised to reshape the future workforce and discuss how education needs to be reimaged to prepare students for an AI-driven world. Additionally, we will explore how AI is influencing what is taught, how it’s taught, how students are evaluated, and how feedback is delivered. By unpacking the “how” and “why,” this session will address both the opportunities and challenges AI presents in the field of education.
