The Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC) and Huawei Hong Kong (Huawei) have partnered to establish the ICT Academy to nurture talent in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) since 2022/2023. Through the ICT Academy’s online learning platform, students can enhance their ICT knowledge, sit for Huawei certification exams, and participate in the Huawei ICT Competition.

The Huawei ICT Competition, now in its fourth year, is a much-anticipated event that unites aspiring tech professionals in Hong Kong. This year’s competition, organised in partnership with the Digital Policy Office of the Government of the HKSAR and 13 local higher education institutions, featured over 900 participants showcasing outstanding skills and creativity.

In a remarkable showcase of talent and innovation, three students of EdUHK have been awarded the prestigious “Potential Prize” in the Cloud Track of the Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025 Hong Kong. Kadirbergenuly NURTAS and WANG Yun Wen, both first-year students in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Artificial Intelligence and Education Technology, with WONG Fat Shing, a third-year student pursuing the Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Secondary) Information and Communication Technology.

The LTTC will continue to support the Huawei ICT Competition as the co-organiser and looks forward to our students maintaining their excellent efforts in next year’s event.
